T - 7

I am blest to be part of a fantastic Bible Study. We meet every week to pray, discuss, share, & support each other. I LOVE IT. It is the *break* in my mommyhood routine that I need & such a wonderful source of friendship. Though we've lost & gained members, some of us have been together for 8 years!
The week before school started we got our families together to eat, chat, & let the kiddos play. It was excellent! Of course, it was such fun (& chaos) that I didn't remember to take a single photo. But trust me, we had enough fun for you, too. =]

T-6 We ventured up to Omaha for the day & enjoyed lunch with Darren's little sisters & their families. Thanks for getting together with such short notice! We ate at Jason's Deli. Have you tried it? It was fabulous. Their salad bar was unlike anything I've seen before & food was scrumptious. Plus there was free breads/muffins/crackers/etc. & ice cream for all. Gotta love that. Next time I'll pass on the kid's meal & my sandwich to just get the soup & salad... it fed us all with leftovers!
Afterwards we checked out the Omaha Children's Museum. Darren had gone as a child, but the rest of us were first-timers. Turns out that it was totally different, so he kind of was, too.
They had cool permanent exhibits, an art area, & a resident artist offering programs. The day we went it was a dancer who read an animal book with the kids & then had them prance around like each of the animals in the story. Very amusing. I was getting tired just watching!
Rebecca was very excited to paint her face.
"This is a duck & a rainbow that Mommy made, & these are wiggly yellow white spots that I made!" This was one of my favorite exhibits. It was like "Ball Popper EXTREME!!!".

On the way home we checked out the lighthouse at Linoma Beach. Then we enjoyed the tasty viddles at Lee's Chicken. The organist even played a few Sesame Street songs for the kids... wish they knew them! I appreciated it anyway. =]
