Two Hands

The day has come. My baby now has to tell how old he is with two hands. Andrew, I can't believe you are six already!

We've established the tradition of decorating after bedtime for birthdays, feastdays, & holidays. So, they were really excited to wake up to this!
The girls gave him the Husker shirt & we gave him Snap Circuits Jr.
These things are seriously cool. It's much simpler (& safer!) then all the wire winding we did as kids. They just snap together & have a book with over a hundred projects in it to make lights turn on, music, alarms, even sound like "space wars". Each project explains the electrical theory at work behind it. They have add-on kits to make it bigger & more complex. If you are looking for a good Christmas idea, this is it! Andrew is fascinated with bald eagles, so I decided to try my hand at a bald eagle cake.
Since it was a Wednesday he got to celebrate with our 20 freshman GodTeens as well. He was very excited to have them all there.

  1. 1. Happy birthday to your dear boy. I seriously can't believe it's been (over) six years since we were in Lamaze class together as first-time moms. ;)

    2. Thanks for the gift idea.

    3. I looooved when the boys had ready-made parties with our Godteens because they seriously thought everyone was there just for them.
