When asked who his best friend is, Andrew almost always says Sam. (On rare occasions Rebecca fills that treasured spot.) They were in preschool together, in Kindergarten together, & now *I hope* 1st grade together.
They seem to have identical interests: Star Wars, policemen, Wild Kratts, eagles, Legos, house, & running around like cheetahs until they practically pass out. They're hilarious together! He is such a kind, smart, funny, & positive kid with parents that I trust. I'm shooting for him to be Andrew's BFF. ;)
We partied at the skating rink for his birthday which was both fun & amusing! Ever seen a bunch of 6 year olds do the Hokey Pokey on roller skates??? His mom made a cute cake shaped like a skate with chocolate donuts for wheels... super fun. I know those days are coming when he wants me just to drop him off & party all on his own, so I'm loving these little chances to have fun with Andrew, get to know his buddies better, & get to see thier interactions.
