Weekend at the farm

My parents graciously welcomed the kids & I for a weekend at the farm.  It was so nice!  Andrew was especially pleased when Grandpa asked him if he wanted to shoot the bow.  It was only his second time.
I bet he shot more than 50 times!  (His arm & shoulder were pretty sore the next day.)
Dad made sure that I got some tries, too.  It had been probably two decades since I shot a bow.  I didn't do too badly, but Andrew beat me every time!
The girls enjoyed hanging out with Grandma, making brownies, playing babies, & making some crafts.  Goodness, could they be anymore girly?
Grandpa likes to play babies, too.  ;)

After a monster hailstorm their fields, trees, & roof took a major beating.  We tried to help clean up a bit while we were there.  The kids thought it was fun!
Grandpa rewarded Andrew for all of his hard work with some beebee gun shooting.  He was in Heaven!
It was hard to believe it was his first time ever shooting.  I had him beat for a while with 5 hits in a row, but after lots of practice, he made it up to 21 in a row!  I think we need to replenish Grandpa's beebee supply.
That evening we had dinner at Pizza Hut & then went to check out my Uncle Neal's cabin... which led to looking at the creek... which led to driving to Neal & Mary's to see their new patio... which led to chatting in their backyard for a couple of hours... which made the kids run around like crazy... which resulted in Teresa falling & honestly NEEDING a band-aid (usually it's just for asthetic beauty)... which led to Aunt Mary bringing out a band-aid WITH ice cream cones.  What an unpredictable & lovely evening!
