Three. Cinderella, our daughter formerly known as Teresa, is three! She requested *surprise!* a princess party.
The big kids gave her a purple sparkly tiara & purple sparkly nail polish. She was beaming! She immediately ran off to change into something more formal to match her crown.
Then the "glass slippers" were unveiled. G.I.D.D.Y.
Finally, I said, "Teresa, do you want to open the present from Mommy & Daddy now?" She immediately started to disrobe. Why, might you ask? Well, a whole month earlier she had requested a Cinderella dress. I told her to ask for it for her birthday & maybe she would get it; then I preceded to sneak it into the cart. Well, guess who discovered it when we arrived at the van? Yep. So, she had been patiently awaiting this dress for a WHOLE month. There was no point now in waiting to unwrap it, she had to be ready to wear it straight out of the bag!
Talking to Green Grandpa & Grandma on the phone.
Though the big kids had to go to school, Daddy took the day off of work & we enjoyed it with our little princess. She was soaking up the attention!
Happy Birthday, sweet girl! We love you so very much.
More celebrating to come...
