For the last few years our principal has caught the first day of school stragglers in the hallway after dropoff & invited them in for donuts in the library. Great way to calm some of those leaving-your-child-for-the-first-time jitters. But it was always rather small & random. So, our moms' group took up the task this year of advertising it as a Back to School Kickoff & provided donuts, bagels, & juice for any parents (& littles) that were interested. We had a huge turnout! I bet there were a good 60 or so people there. Both Kleenex & party hats were also provided. :) Lots of fun!

After partying it up with the moms for a while & running home to accomplish a little for the day, it was already time to be back for Mass with all the school kids. Before I knew it, they were running out the door!
