Rebecca is 7 years old!
It's amazing to even believe. We partied enough that it's starting to sink in. She brought flower cupcakes to school on Friday for her class & they sang to her. We were supposed to leave for my niece's Confirmation in Chicago Saturday but illness kept us home. So, we did our best to make the weekend here fun, too. Daddy took her out to a movie on Saturday afternoon, just the two of them. Sunday morning was sad again but Red Grandma saved the day by handing off Rebecca's present early. She opened up this adorable tea set! They played tea party all morning.
Finally, Monday on her actual birthday, we had her traditional requested pancake breakfast.
After breakfast & getting ready for school, she opened up her presents. She is ready to garden!
After getting sung to again at school, we went out for Yogurtini... her favorite.
She requested La Paz for dinner & was surprised by even getting a free fried ice cream. Yummo! We came home & decorated her cake, but were too stuffed to eat it.
After school on Tuesday (when we were SUPPOSED to be home) she had over a few friends to play. Her "garden party" included painting & planting flower pots, making ladybug crackers (had to find a way to work her favorite black olives in to the party), cake, & garden races in the basement.
Such sweet & fun friends.
Happy birthday, beautiful Rebecca!
We love you!
