Cousins, cousins...

We just returned from a four day trip to Minnesota! Darren had a conference for work to attend & we decided to tag along so that we could enjoy time with our cousins. My sister Chris & her husband Kyle graciously welcomed us into their home. Most of our time was spent playing at their house, but on Wednesday we made an outing to their local indoor playground. Lots of climbing, slides, poles, tunnels, & sounds of the rainforest to enjoy... not to mention fun cousins. :)Rebecca was a smidge hesitant without a "big kid" guiding her way, so she spent a good chunk of time just climbing the rocks near Chris & me.
Then she & Teresa checked out the bounce house. After a couple falls, Rebecca was done. But Teresa played in there without anyone else she knew for about 20 minutes! She'd fall down, bonk her head, twist her leg, & just giggle. They have such different personalities, it's crazy!Andrew was especially fond of the "dark slide" that supposedly was pitch black inside. I managed to wiggle my way up following him to go down the "fast slide", which really was fast! I restrained from screaming. ;) But I tell ya, those climbing nets were not made for adult sized bodies. I was afraid I might get stuck!Maria was so much fun & such a great helper. I could always depend on her to rush to comfort any of the littles who needed it. What a beautiful girl!James & Andrew were like two peas in a pod. They built, they puzzled, they raced, but mostly they just played any imaginative game that involved bad guys. Rebecca was a big fan of their floor puzzles. We may finally have a birthday idea for her!Chris also runs a daycare in her home & we were able to enjoy the company of a few extra kids on Tuesday. Teresa had a blast playing ball with Dylan. My nephew Michael generously agreed to watch all the kids on Wednesday night so that we could go out with just Chris & Kyle to dinner. It was so nice to chat & relax together. Thanks for a lovely evening! We ate some Famous Dave's on the way up. Here's the gals after our yummy meal. This is what she does every time she sees a camera now. I have to catch her not paying attention to ever get a non-cheeseball grin.

I was able to spend some great moments with all the kids: telling jokes with John, crimping Clara's hair for the play, karate kicking with James, car talking with Michael, singing with Maria. It was so fun! Thank you for opening your home to us! We are so blest to have you all in our lives.
