Teresa has had rather the verbal explosion in the last two weeks. She went from a vocabulary of about 5 words (mama, dada, bubba, baby, puppy, ball) to repeating almost anything we say just shy of 18 months old! She is consistently saying hi, bye-bye, love you, thank you, lap (asking to sit on it), side (to play outside), go, uck (sock), all done, down, ook (book), bear, more, jew (juice), cuppie (cup), open, up, on... all kinds of things on her own & many more with example.
It's been fun to finally feel like she's really able to communicate with us. Of course, there are still plenty of kinks to work out, like answering "no" to every yes/no question though when accompanied by the sign for "yes" it means affirmative. What a fun time to see which words are important enough for her to learn them & get a little sneak peak into her developing personality.
