Uncle confusion

Andrew brought home a cool art project for Easter. He was explaining what the different parts were & finally got to the part they used to hold it all together.

Andrew: This is called a doug.

Me: A doug? (thinking...) You mean a brad?

Andrew: Oh, yeah! I knew it was one of my uncles.
